Properties: Generally white or white crystalline powder

1. Indications

Macromycin hydrochloride for injection is mainly used in the following situations:

Urethritis, prostatitis, cervicivaginitis and rectal infection caused by Neisseria gonorrhoeae.

Infection caused by drug-resistant strains such as penicillin and tetracycline.

The drug of choice for those allergic to penicillin, especially for the treatment of syphilis, including primary syphilis, secondary syphilis, tertiary syphilis (syphilitic tumor), early latent syphilis, and late syphilis (including stage II and III syphilis).

2. Usage and dosage

Usage: For deep intramuscular injection only. Before immediate use, 3.2ml (1) 0.9% benzyl alcohol injection should be added to this product every 2g (1), and the suspension should be formed after shaking.

Dosage:

Adults: For cervical, rectal or urethral Neisseria gonorrhoeae infection, a single dose of intramuscular injection of 2g (1 dose); For disseminated gonorrhea, one intramuscular injection of 2g (1), once every 12 hours, for 3 days. The maximum dose of 4g (2) was injected intramuscularily into the left and right buttocks.

Children: Not allowed for newborns. Children weighing less than 45kg should be given a single dose of 40mg/kg intramuscular injection according to body weight; For patients with more than 45kg, a single dose of 2g (1 dose) was injected intramuscular.


3. Adverse reactions
The following adverse reactions may occur when using Daguanomycin hydrochloride for injection:

Occasionally, patients may experience pain at the injection site, temporary dizziness, nausea, vomiting, and insomnia.

Occasionally, fever, rash and other allergic reactions were observed.

It may lead to decreased hemoglobin and hematocrit, decreased creatinine clearance, and increased alkaline phosphatase, urea nitrogen and serum aminotransferase.

There are also cases of decreased urine output.

4. Taboo

People with allergic history of this product and aminoglycoside antibiotics should not be allowed.

Contraindicated in patients with kidney disease.

Prohibited for pregnant women.

Neonatal condone (due to the diluent of this product contains 0.9% benzyl alcohol, may cause neonatal fatal wheezing syndrome).

5. Precautions

This product should not be given intravenously, but should be injected deep intramuscular above the outer muscle of the buttocks, and the injection volume should not exceed 2g (5ml) at the injection site.

There is no cross allergy between this product and penicillin.

When adverse reactions occur, the drug should be stopped immediately and seek medical treatment. For severe allergic reactions, corticosteroids and (or) antihistamine drugs can be given to keep the airway smooth, oxygen and so on.

Alcohol should be avoided during use to avoid affecting the efficacy or increasing the risk of adverse reactions.

6. Drug interaction

According to literature reports, the combination of this product with lithium carbonate can cause toxic effects of lithium carbonate in individual patients. Therefore, it is necessary to pay attention to the interaction between drugs when using to avoid adverse reactions caused by the simultaneous use of other drugs.

7. Storage
